The prompt yesterday for Holidailies was Five Years Ago.
Five years ago I had just moved to Mississippi. I had an unchallenging job in a backwoods town, and I wasn’t even 30 yet. I bought a house with a swimming pool, and had friends next door. I got back into acting and work a much better blog (even though it wasn’t called a blog).
I never in a million years would have pictured where I am now five years ago. I never would have thought I’d still be living in Mississippi. I never would have considered that I’d be naturalizing.
I also never would have thought I would be able to get the internet in my hand on my phone.
