The best night out of the year was a bonfire on the beach here in Mississippi. AB’s coworker organized the evening in the spring, and there were about 15 or 20 of us from all over Mississippi. A lot of people I didn’t know, or had only met a few times, but the stories were flying and the marshmallows were toasting.
It was the kind of thing I always imagined happened when you lived near a beach, but in the four years I’d lived down here, had never happened to me. Generally, I’m neither a beach person nor an outdoorsy kind of person, but I really had a blast. In fact, it made me re-think my no-outside-stuff persona. I’ve been missing out on a lot.
One Year Ago Today: I’m spending a good bit of time with Songza working away in the background.
